Welcome to Trinity Community Church's music department page!
The music ministry at Trinity Community Church is committed to exalting God and glorifying Jesus Christ through the gift of music in all styles—traditional through contemporary. We seek to worship and lead in spirit and truth, present the Good News through music, and allow participants to use their gifts for God’s glory.
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music!
-Psalm 98:4 NIV
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
-Colossians 3:16 NIV
The Trinity Choir sings almost every week in our worship service, as well as during other special services during the year such as Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday. The choir is also a central figure in the annual Christmas Eve candlelit service of Lessons and Carols and also spends an evening caroling either at local retirement communities or at the Sycamore Township Luminaria.
They sing music from a variety of styles and historical periods, from traditional choral anthems by Bach and Handel to contemporary choral music written in the last decade.
The choir delights in presenting large-scale choral works including Dubois's Seven Last Words of Christ, Handel's The Messiah and Vivaldi's Gloria in addition to contemporary cantatas and musicals.
Join the choir on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM in the choir room for rehearsal. No audition or experience is necessary to be a part of the Trinity Choir, and neither is the ability to read music—just a love for music and a heart to glorify God!
The Trinity Worship Leaders lead the contemporary musical portion of Trinity’s Sunday worship service leading contemporary praise and worship songs. At other times during the year, the Worship Ensemble has the opportunity to provide fun music for celebration and fellowship.
Do you think you have a GOOD VOICE, can KEEP A BEAT, or play a tambourine? Want to try the Trinity Worship Leaders? Please come to the Trinity Worship Leaders practice Sundays after the service, at 11:30 am and see what we are about. For more information, please contact the office.
