Born and raised in Massachusetts, Cathy has spent the last ten years doing ministry in different parts of the country and beyond. Her journey in ministry and in faith started in the woods of New Hampshire over twenty years ago. Working at a Covenant camp throughout high school and her college years cemented Cathy’s faith and began her call to pastoral ministry.
After completing a film degree at Boston University, Cathy thought she would go into the world of screenwriting and film, but God had other plans. Doors opened for her to serve at a church in London, England and ministry has been on her heart ever since. Besides London, Cathy has served churches in Boston, Chicago, and Nebraska. Upon completing her Masters of Divinity at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL, Cathy has accepted the call to be the senior pastor at Trinity Community Church. In her spare time, Cathy loves spending time with friends, jogging/working out, movies, music, and creative writing. She is an adventurous chef that enjoys cooking exotic foods and experimenting with recipes. She loves Jesus a whole lot and can’t wait to see what He has in store for Trinity Community Church.
Hello, my name is Sarah Kim. I am the Choir Director here at Trinity Community Church. Music has always been a part of my life. I started playing piano age six. I studied music theory and piano at the Eastman School of Music and received M.M. in both Choral Conducting and Music Theory from the Northwestern University. After I graduated from Northwestern, I went back to my home country, South Korea and taught at Yonsei University and Inje University. Currently, I am also the Artistic Director of Cincinnati Chorale. Besides music, I have a great interest in interior designing and gardening. I hope all my musical talents will be used for God's glory.
Many of us hear the music brought for worship by our organist, but know little about the man behind the keys. As a community, we are honored to have that position filled by Bart Choate. A native Cincinnatian, Bart has an extensive background in the study of piano, initially playing during his childhood, and furthering his study at Cincinnati’s School for the Creative and Performing Arts (1991), later obtaining a B.Mus. degree in piano at Ohio Wesleyan University (1995), and culminating in a M.Mus. degree in piano pedagogy from the University of Illinois (1997). On Sundays, Bart hopes that sharing his talent for music comes through in worship and praise. Bart is more diverse than his music though. He also is a 2004 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy and works full-time as a pharmacist providing care to patients of The Jewish Hospital and CVS Pharmacy. In his spare time, he enjoys visiting his family and enjoying time with his two Siberian Huskies in his Montgomery home.
